Recreation Programs 

Living in Northern Ontario means there is always something to do no matter what season it may be.  Between the Municipality and Community Service Groups there seems to be a program for every fitness type and age.  

Hockey 

There is a league for everyone at the East Ferris Community Centre.  There is Minor Hockey, Men’s League, Women’s League, and Old-timers.  If you like hockey, there is a team for you. For more information about the leagues that play in our facility, call 705-752-3566

Nosbonsing Curling Club 

The Curling club offers two sheets for curling. Programs include, learn how to curl, senior, men’s, mixed and women’s curling leagues, junior curling training sessions, Carnival Family curling Bonspiel. For more information call 705-499-2611 or email nosbonsingcurling@gmail.com

Public Skating 

Public Skating is scheduled on Mondays and Fridays from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. and Sundays from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. Skating may be cancelled when hockey tournaments or events are being hosted at the East Ferris Community Centre. The use of CSA approved helmets for public skating is strongly recommended for all participants. 

 

 

East Ferris Fitness Centre 

The Fitness Centre is open 24/7 for your convenience.  It is located at 1257 Village Road (below the Library) and offers 2,000 square feet of workout space and equipment.  Personal fitness programs could be developed for you if requested. The Fitness Centre also offers fitness classes within the community such as Zumba, Tai Chi and Yoga.  Call 705-752-4758 for more information.  

Youth Hip Hop Classes

Back by popular demand, join our fun youth hip hop classes! 

Monday Night Hip Hop Classes, running for 8 weeks, starting on May 5th, 2025.

Ages 5-12 at the East Ferris Community Centre

Led by an experienced instructor. Thanks to Dance Expressions de Danse for bringing an instructor into our community!  Alexa Robidoux has been teaching dance at Dance Expressions de danse for many years. She joined the studio in 2008, competed with the Dance X Team from age six, and excelled in multiple genres. A 2021 École publique Odyssée graduate, she now studies Psychology at Nipissing University, aiming to earn her master's while continuing to teach. Alexa is excited to share her passion for Hip Hop with the community.

YOUTH SOCCER REGISTRATIONS ARE NOW OPEN!

We are very excited to be able to offer the Youth Soccer League brought to you by the Municipality of East Ferris, and the Municipality of Callander again this year for another season!


For those who are not familiar, this is a non-competitive soccer league where we encourage sportsmanship and cooperation through sport. Children in this league will have an opportunity to learn about soccer while getting exercise, having fun, and making friends.
