Welcome to East Ferris! 

Welcome to the Municipality of East Ferris’ website.  East Ferris was incorporated in 1921 and is made up of two villages: Astorville and Corbeil. The villages are built near the shores of Lake Nosbonsing and Trout Lake and are the communities we call “our home / notre chez-nous!"  

The website is an important tool – a gateway to municipal services and programs as well as a link to connect the Municipality with its nearly 5,000 residents. It builds on East Ferris’ proud legacy of residents and government working together to build a wonderful community to live, work and raise a family.   It includes information on the many events going on in East Ferris as well as photographs of our beautiful countryside. This website, the annual Municipal Calendar is a great source of information for the community.   

If you are a first time visitor, please take a glimpse at what makes Astorville and Corbeil an appealing place to visit or call home. If you are a resident, glimpse through our Municipal Council priorities guiding East Ferris on its journey.  In 2021, the Municipality celebrated its centennial anniversary.  It was a great opportunity to highlight our accomplishments and celebrate our heritage. We look forward to the exciting future East Ferris has, as a vibrant and healthy rural community evolving into a new century!
