It's that time again Volleyball is back. Teams of 4 for CO-ED, Women's and in the category of Recreational or Competitive are welcome to register prior to May 15, 2013 for the upcoming season. NOTE: senior high school and post secondary students must play Competitve. See section under Events for forms and more information.
Summer Hours for Landfill Site and Fire Permits
The Landfill Site is now on Summer Hours which are Saturdays only from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm as well as Tuesdays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Fire Permits are requried in order to have a fire. However, please take caution when lighting a fire. Please be aware of the weather and wind when burning as well. Permits are available at the Municipal Office or either of the Lucky 13 locations.
1/2 Loads apply to Municipal Roads
Please note that half loads regualtions are in placed on all municipal roads until May 15, 2013. This is an annual occurance begining March 1st.
Council adopted the 2013 Capital Budget
Council has adopted the capital workplan for 2013. The main road work this season will be Lake Nosbonsing Road and Groulx Road for maintenance. Other capital work will be upgrades to the East Ferris Community Centre and Corbeil Park Hall. For more information call the Treasurer at 705-752-2740 x226.
The Waste Management By-law has been finalized
Council approved By-law 2013-15 on March 12th, 2013. The full by-law is available by clicking here.
The area of change is under Section 4 - Curbside Collection. Please note that raw garbage bags are not to be left out for collection, please put in a container or you can build a bin using the specfiications under this section or the Appendix.
OPP produces pamphlets so you know who to call and when to call
The Ontario Provincial Police for the North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan Detachments have produced this Infomation Brochure to educate residents when and who to call for help. There is also information on criminal record checks, victim services, and fraud. Please read so that you stay informed.
