Fire Dept.

The Municipal Fire Dept. is looking for old/unused buildings (sheds, barns garages, etc) to use for training.  If you have such a building on your property and would like to donate it for usage for Fire Dept. training please contact the Municipal Office @ 752-2740 for more information.

Recycling Program News

The program has begun and has been a huge success so far.  Keep up the good work.  Items accepted; glass (not light bulbs, mirrors or ceramics), cans (please rinse them out), plastics (all plastics #1-#7, # of plastic can be found on bottom of container), juice boxes, milk cartons, paper/newspaper (bundled with a string), and cardboard/boxboard.  There is no limit on the amount you can recycle.  To have these items picked up have them out by 7:00am on the assigned pick up day, but not before 6pm the night before.  If you have any questions on the recycling program call the Municipal Office @ 752-2740.

Vendor Registry For Businesses

Calling all Businesses / Vendors in East Ferris and the surrounding areas:

The Municipality of East Ferris is looking to start a “Local Business/Vendor Database.”  We are looking for your business name, contact information and what service(s) you may be able to provide the Municipality, both volunteer and /or for a fee.  We want / need to know what’s available to the Municipality that we can take advantage of, use and all work together as one big team.  To provide us with your business information, simply contact the Municipal Office @ 752-2740.

East Ferris is still looking for your EMAIL addresses.  To receive updates on current events within the Municipal and the monthly newsletter the East Ferris Insight, contact  the Municiapl Office and provide  your email address.  It will in turn open up the lines of communication.

The Emergency Management Committee is looking for people who require special needs and/or services.  We have started a Community Emergency Database and in the event of an emergency, we need to know who may be at ‘more’ risk then others, and so forth.  To add your name to this important list, contact Municipal Office @ 752-2740.
